The largest motorcycle museum in North America, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum showcases more than 700 motorcycles from around the world and from every decade of the twentieth century.

The oldest machine in the collection was built in 1904, but more recent models include a 1927 SS80 Brough Superior, 1951 Vincent Comet, 1956 Douglas Dragonfly, several BSA Gold Stars, a 1980 Laverda Jota Formula 1000, 1989 Ducati 850 and Dave Sadowski's 1990 Daytona-winning Vance & Hines.


Day Trip Suggestion
From the Barber Museum, head west along Fifth Avenue South. Go north along 18th Street South and continue along 18th Street North to Fourth Avenue North. Head west to Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, a showcase of the state's superb musicians with a wealth of memorabilia and interactive exhibits.

From the Jazz Hall of Fame head north along 17th Street North, east along Ninth Avenue North, turning north onto Civic Center Boulevard and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, featuring sporting greats such as Jesse Owens, Joe Namath and Jennifer Chandler.
